Held on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, this event featured distinguished representatives from the University of Zakho, including Prof. Dr. Sattar Jabar Haji, Dean of the College of Education: Asst. Prof. Ivan Hasan Murad, Director of the Language Center; Ms. Shlair Mustafa Mohammed, Director of Pedagogical Training and Academic Development; and Ms. Mayaf Mardan, faculty member of the College of Engineering, and Ms. Hala Sadallah, faculty member of English Department. The CAPA conference, themed "K-12 and Beyond: Achieving Educational Excellence," highlighted pivotal issues in education from primary to post-secondary levels. 

The conference commenced at 10:00 a.m. with a welcoming address by Dr. Randall Rhodes, President of the American University of Kurdistan, followed by a keynote address and several interactive workshops. Through engaging, hands-on sessions, educators from various educational levels—spanning primary, secondary, and tertiary—along with education administrators, teacher trainers, and assessment specialists, explored the latest teaching methodologies and technological innovations, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into classroom preparation, assessment, and management practices.

A noteworthy contribution to the conference was made by Asst. Prof. Ivan Hasan Murad, who facilitated two interactive workshops titled "Maximizing Student Achievement through Effective Assessment Strategies." These workshops provided participants with a variety of assessment strategies designed to enhance student performance and engagement.

The conference concluded with a formal ceremony recognizing the keynote speaker and workshop facilitators, who were presented with certificates of appreciation for their valuable contributions.
